Omega XL: Consumer Beware By India Gray Bob urges readers to be wary when buying from Omega XL, calling it a “scam.” After seeing the product in a TV advertisement, Bob placed an order for Omega XL dietary supplements containing mussel oil. His purchase was for one delivery and cost $50. The catch is that the company continued to charge Bob’s credit card $50 every four weeks for products. He did not sign up for a perpetual purchase. He said, “Once I ordered it, I had to go through a lot of problems so they wouldn’t send it anymore.” Bob initially contacted the seller to no avail, “It’s that it keeps coming forever.” Bob was refunded his money only after telling his bank. Bob’s advice is  “Just use a bank draft if anyone wants to buy it. I just want to warn people.” Please be cautious! Following Bob’s complaint, Sue Daugherty, Director of Serving Our Seniors, went to the Better Business Bureau’s (BBB) website to see if this was an isolated incident. There are several complaints submitted to the BBB about the difficulty experienced cancelling the shipments and discontinuing the charges.
