Those who are fully vaccinated and show their vaccination card may come into our lobby and meet face to face with an advocate – without wearing a mask. Those who cannot provide proof of being fully vaccinated are welcome if they are wearing a mask that covers both nose and mouth. We do this because we care. There still remains much to be learned about Covid-19 and its variants. As older people, we are more susceptible to the virus. Out of concern for everyone’s well-being we are being cautious. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. We are also preparing for Medicare Open Enrollment, which starts October 15, 2021. In doing so, you will read a lot about Medicare in this issue. All are worth reading if you want to save money and get the best coverage for your circumstances. Listed to the right is our Report to the Community. It reflects the volume of services rendered to Erie County’s 60+ population. Behind these numbers are people, most of whom have turned to us to simplify the complexities of later life. It always gratifying to see that people know Serving Our Seniors as someone to call when they need help aging successfully.
