Gone are the days that you reach 65 years of age, buy a Medicare
supplemental insurance policy and receive 100% insurance coverage. Today
you have “choices”. (Ugh!) In this issue you will read how we can reduce your
frustration with trying to understand how your Medicare insurance works.
I hope you will be inspired by the photos, video clips, and stories of those
who live in our community and are successfully aging. They make it clear that
an active social life has positive consequences on well-being; and physical
activity preserves their spirit and their independence as they grow older.
In our efforts to create a compassionate community to support aging
independently, we are working to close the generation gap between teens and
adults age 60+. Only when we understand each other better, will we see that
“Seniors Rock”. Lend us your moral support by attending/participating in the
events described on page 17 and 22.
