Medical, Dental & Mental Health Care! Now Open: Erie Community Pharmacy! Serving Our Seniors received a suggestion from the Erie County Sheriff. Is there a way to help older adults, living on dark, rural roads without an easy-to-see house number? The Sheriff explained when first responders are called to a rural residence, locating the correct house can sometimes be difficult — especially at night when the house numbers cannot be seen. To find a way to solve this problem, Serving Our Seniors has launched a “pilot project” in Vermilion Township. Through this project, Serving Our Seniors will provide a free address number sign  for the first 100 Vermilion Township residents, aged 60 or better. Why call it a “pilot project”? We want to see what works — and discover any “hiccups” along the way. For example, not every mailbox post may be suitable for installing an address number. If that happens, Serving Our Seniors will work with the older adult to explore possible solutions. Making Sure Help Can Find You Serving Our Seniors would like to thank the Vermilion Township Road Department. Vermilion Township has generously offered to donate the labor to install the address numbers on mailbox posts for the first 100 participants. Installations will be worked into the Road Department’s regular schedule and completed as time allows.  A simple, clearly visible house number can help first responders find you when you need them most. To request a free address number sign for your mailbox, call Serving Our Seniors  (419-624-1856). Ask for a Senior Advocate Assistant or a Senior Advocate. Sheriff Paul Sigsworth 4
