Affordable General Dental Care
Did you know that the average woman smiles about
sixty-two times a day, while a man smiles just eight times?
Kids laugh about four hundred times a day, and adults,
only ffteen.
Dental health is important for all ages, it is especially so for
seniors. You cannot have a healthy body without a healthy
mouth. But what if you cannot afford to see a dentist? The
Erie County Health Department/Erie County Community
Health Center provides
dental care services
to all and
offers a sliding fee schedule
. Medicare, Medicaid and
multiple private health plans are also accepted.
Erie County resident, Christine Vroman used this Dental
Clinic for the frst time in mid-February for an oral
examination. She said, “They were very courteous and
nice”. After her exam she was scheduled to be treated
the next business day for her extractions. “I wasn’t afraid
at all. They put me to ease right away. They are just
nice, down-to-earth people and everything worked out
very well”.
At this time, the Erie County Community Health Center’s
Dental Clinic does not provide denture services. However,
Serving Our Seniors will be helping Christine receive
denture treatment, through Serving Our Seniors “Denture
Project”. She has an appointment with a local dentist
to provide this service.
If you need dental care, and think you can’t afford it,
contact the Erie County Health Department/Community
Health Center’s “Dental Clinic”. It offers appointments
Monday through Friday. A New Dental Patient Packet
