She beams, “I can’t thank them enough for doing this for me.” The dentures are not free, but Serving Our Seniors makes dentures affordable for those who qualify.   Gidget wore a disintegrating pair of dentures for 10 years due to the exorbitant costs for dentures. She says, “Dentures are not affordable for people on social security.” After a while, cysts formed in her mouth, she developed difficulties eating and became self-conscious of her smile.  The 73-year-old called Serving Our Seniors to inquire if there was help to get dentures. After meeting with Amy, Senior Advocate Assistant, she applied for “cost- When a Smile Changes Everything By India Gray sharing.” Cost-Sharing is a way for retirees to pay an amount they can afford — without causing any financial hardship. She says, “Serving Our Seniors is a place for seniors to go and get help with their teeth. I just had to pay a little bit, but not very much.” Gidget also used Google Reviews before making an appointment with the dentist. Her dentures were sized and colored to her liking; she states, “They are just beautiful. I can’t stop smiling.” If you are a reader, who can relate to Gidget’s story, she encourages you to do as she did, “Call Amy at Serving Our Seniors” and ask how you can apply for cost-sharing to replace your dentures. ( Editor’s Note: Any Senior Advocate Assistant or Senior Advocate can explain how cost-sharing works.) Gidget, left, with Amy.
