Nationally, 25 – 27% of today’s older adults (age 60+) are aging alone. They recognize they have no family or close friends to help in a time of need. Today’s declining birthrate of 1.7 means this trend appears to be growing, as young Americans choose not to have children. Serving Our Seniors plays a vital role helping older adults from being dismissed and disregarded. We are the older population’s advocate to receive the help they need at a cost they can afford. Serving Our Seniors has established the Fund for the Future, an endowed fund managed by the Erie County Community Foundation. An investment to ensure when today’s young and middle-aged adults reach later life, Serving Our Seniors will be there to help resolve problems they cannot overcome alone. Every contribution matters.
