Home Ramps
Serving Our Seniors provides temporary, ADA-compliant, metal ramps to qualifying Erie County residents aged 60 +, who are unable to enter or exit their homes safely, due to a functional limitation. The purpose of the Ramp Program is to assist older adults who are living independently, in their own home or apartment, to maintain their independence. Temporary ramps are installed at the permanent address of older adults who need a ramp.
Older caregivers, who may be caring for their spouse or an adult child, in the home where the older adult lives, is also eligible for a ramp.
The temporary ramp remains the property of Serving Our Seniors, Inc. The resident is responsible for the cost of installation. Through Serving Our Seniors’ Cost Sharing Partnership Program, a reduction on the cost of installation is available to those who qualify.
